Yigit Kacmaz

Hello! I am Yigit Kacmaz and I am the videographer and the graphic designer of Luctatio Productions. I am extremely hyped to film the trailblazers of girl’s wrestling in Iowa.  

On top of working with Luctatio Productions, I am the executive producer of Knight Vision News and the social media Director of KWAR. I am a Journalism & Communication major with concentrations in Multimedia Journalism, Public Relations and Digital Cinema and a minor in Graphic Design.  

I am from Bursa, Turkey but originally from Bulgaria. I enjoy spending time watching TV shows and movies and improving my conceptual skills of filmmaking. I also like to read books and facetime with family and friends back home. 

I came to Wartburg with Davis Scholarship after graduating from United World College Dilijan in Armenia. While I initially thought of doing history, my experienced friends in the Journalism & Communication department persuaded me to switch. Once I graduate, I will miss the department and my friends and my professors who contributed a lot in my personal and my professional growth.  

I am very excited to produce a documentary about girls’ wrestling and work with strong girls who are shaping the future of athletics.
