Tyler Johnson
Videographer and Editor
My name is Tyler Johnson, I am the videographer and editor for Luctatio Productions. I feel honored to be a part of a professional and talented group of people who chose me to document and edit for our upcoming documentary about high school wrestler, Kiara Djoumessi.
I am a student at Wartburg College studying Journalism & Communication with concentrations in Digital Cinema and Public Relations. I am also an avid writer, and I am currently writing my own tv-series script. Throughout my years at Wartburg College, I’ve had the privilege of working as a writer for several organizations on campus and a graphic and web designer who created websites and content for both on and off campus clients.
At Wartburg, I was involved in organizations such as Knight Vision News and served as Floor Manager and Graphics Director. In Knight Vision Films, I served as Script Supervisor and Producer and for KWAR Radio, I served as an Assistant News Director and a co-host for a weekly radio show.
My parents are Jeff and Kim Johnson. I also have a younger brother named Alex. I grew up in Robins, a suburb of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I graduated from Linn-Mar High School in 2020 where I was involved in band, jazz band and marching band. I also played varsity tennis.
What I plan to do after college is to seek a career in public relations and marketing before seeking a career as a screenwriter in the film industry. What I am going to miss the most about Wartburg is the feel of being in a small college and community.
